Ordinary Cooler fans

Standard fixed pitch fans do not control airflow. They are limited to generating maximum airflow for maximum cooling. This may be necessary on the hottest summer days, but it is highly inefficient during the rest of the year.

Moving excessive airflow through a cooler robs fuel from production, needlessly consumes horsepower and creates high noise levels. In locations where winter temperatures plummet, overcooling creates “freeze-ups” in process gas and coolant bundles, resulting in costly shut downs and increased maintenance.
Flexxaire variable pitch GX fans

The GX fan automatically adjusts blade pitch to deliver only the airflow required for efficient cooling all year round. You only get what you need!

GX fan benefits:
  • Savings of up to 60% on HP consumption and fan related fuel costs.
  • Reduced green house gas emissions.
  • Reduced fan noise levels.
  • Elimination of winter freeze-ups.
  • Reduced on-site maintenance.
  • Cost effective alternative to air recirculation units.
  • Field proven, heavy duty, low maintenance design.
GX Installation

Flexxaire’s GX fans are easily installed at existing sites, or by your packager. Automatic blade adjustments are made using compressed air or natural gas, and are controlled by the station’s control panel (stand alone control options are available). GX fan hubs are designed for use with Moore blades for fans ranging from 6 to 15 feet in diameter.
